Sales Desk Associate

Position Summary: 

The Sales Desk Associate creates quotes for our Clients that set others up for success.  As the first step of the project and product order process they ensure our Client Relations Managers (CRM), service technicians, and Clients have a great experience by consolidating information to create error free quotes and orders. 

 

Education/Certifications/Skills Requirements

  1. Exceptional communication skills.

  2. The ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt to changes quickly.

  3. The drive to build Client loyalty through transparency and vulnerability.

  4. A meticulous attention to detail.

  5. A rudimentary understanding of technology and the basic parts of a computer network.

  6. The ability to analyze and improve internal processes.

  7. An indepth knowledge of MS Word and Excel.

  8. The ambition and curiosity necessary to master our quoting software.

 

Ongoing Education requirements

1)  Attend seminars and/or webinars related to technology, sales processes, and personal growth

2)  Read vendor and trade-related books, magazines, emails, newsletters, and websites to stay current on the latest technologies

3)  Set goals and plan the journey

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assist the Corporate Account Manager and Technical Engineer in providing product solutions for the Client.

  2. Prepare quotes and scopes of work for solutions offered to the Client

  3. Process the Order after Client has accepted quote

  4. Prepare the billing for the order

  5. Follow up with Client after the completion of the order

  6. Communicate with Client regarding

    1. Questions about existing orders

    2. Questions about products or services

    3. Placing an order

  7. Process orders for Clients not assigned to a Corporate Account Manager

 

Individual Performance Standards

Individual measurables:  The inside Sales Associate will have a quarterly preview with the Team Leader.  At that time, they will discuss and plan a career path and the tools needed for that path.
